Description:

Type 316 Stainless Steel Split Lock Washer

Compared to regular flat washers, split lock (or spring lock) washers reduce the likelihood that your fastened joint will loosen under shock or vibration.

Under compression, spring tension forces the split ends to dig into mating surfaces and hold tight.

Type 316 stainless steel provides better corrosion resistance than 18-8 stainless steel. 18-8 stainless steel offers excellent corrosion resistance.

Both materials may be mildly magnetic and have a minimum Rockwell hardness of C35.
