The convertible model presents challenges to achieving powerful bass, which is why JL Audio enlisted the biggest W3v3 and wrapped it in a form-fitted sealed enclosure that takes up no more trunk space than the optional factory "subwoofer" (and requires no holes to be drilled for secure installation).

This Stealthbox has the power handling and output capability to generate outstanding sub-bass performance with the top up or down and will make every trip in your Mustang more enjoyable.

The Hard Data: Contains one 13W3v3-2 in a sealed enclosure. 600 watt power handling. Wired for 2 ohm mono. Installs in the passenger side rear corner of the trunk. If vehicle is equipped with the "Shaker 1000" sound system, the factory woofer system must be removed for the Stealthbox to fit. Will not fit the coupe!

If you're like most people, you spend more time listening to music in your car than any other place. Too bad most car stereos have weak sound quality, especially in the bass department.

Adding a subwoofer is the single, most significant improvement you can make to a car audio system. JL Audio's engineers began the Stealthbox design process by studying the acoustics of the target vehicle and evaluating potential Stealthbox locations.

Extensive testing takes place with the goal of maximizing performance while minimizing loss of vehicle utility and comfort. Then JL Audio choose from their vast arsenal of acclaimed subwoofer components and their rather extensive bag of loading techniques to produce the best possible subwoofer response for each and every Stealthbox vehicle. Prototypes are evaluated and fine-tuned to further improve sound quality, output, cosmetics and fit. After a month or two (sometimes three) of intense research, a Stealthbox is ready for production.

The result is a product that embodies JL Audio's passion for car audio by exceeding the conventional limits of system design...
