Description:

The SX-100 is for the serious CBer as it measures both forward and reflected power and VSWR. Its compact size makes the meter useful for testing both base and mobile installations.

A poor SWR between the radio and antenna can severely reduce the life of the final transistors of a transceiver. The damage can be almost immediate or can be gradual. Keeping tabs on the SWR will alert you to performance issues before any damage is done.

Power meters show the transmitter output power. This will tell you if the transmitter is putting out the proper power.

The SX-100 is an insertion type SWR/Power meter being connected between a transmitter and an antenna. Transmitting power and SWR can be measured with very simple operations.

In addition to those conventional measurements, PEP (Peak Envelope Power) on SSB mode can be measured with a PEP monitor function. With Diamond's wideband and low insertion loss directional coupler those measurements can be performed with minimum effect in transmission line.
