In addition to being a weather radio, the CX312A-1, is also a 23 mile walkie talkie with hands-free operation, 22 Channels (2,662 combinations) and battery savings technology. The CX312A-1 is compatible with all GMRS/FRS Walkie Talkie 2-Way Radios.
