The TUP9-D104SKE Silver K Eagle and the TUP9-D104NKE Night K Eagle are versions of the original D104 microphone. These microphones feature a unique End of Transmission Signal (ETS) with two different and distinctive sounds. The first is a Morse code "K" which is the universal telegraph abbreviation for "over". The second switch selectable sound is a multi-tone burst.

The TUP9 stand has a built-in two stage silicon transistor amplifier having high impedance input. The output impedance is suitable for the inputs of all commercial transmitters or transceivers. The TUP9 stand is entirely chrome plated and features grip-to-talk and press-to-talk bars.
