Some of the extras had to go to
produce this powerhouse in a clean, simple package.
New features include:
- A High Performance output circuit that uses
two Toshiba 2SC2290 power transistors to generate 50 dead key watts
and 100+ Watts PEP for AM and FM operation (No SSB operation)
- New chassis incorporates a solid aluminum
finned rear section as a heatsink
- Additional heatsink on the bottom of the radio
with an internal Micro cooling fan increases the radio height from
2.5 to 3 inches
- New "StarLite" EL faceplate is matte
black with all lettering backlit in green and blue
- Main circuit board upgraded to the same board
as the DX 2517 base radio
- Front mic jack
- Heavy duty DC power cord
Items NOT included:
- No frequency counter
- No jack for accessory frequency counter
- No Roger Beep circuit
- No clarifier
- Three-position dimmer switch takes the place
of a variable dimmer pot
The DX 48T also has the following standard
